Hi! I'm Ajaya Ramachandran.
COMPUTER SCIENCE + AI @ NORTHEASTERN // OPEN TO INTERN
Super-Headshot
See below to learn about me.
My Story
I'm a freshman at Northeastern University, originally from North Andover, MA. From childhood, my parents fostered in me a love for all things science and tech. As my interests developed, my passions clustered around computers, programming, and designing digital systems. By high school, I was fluent in many basic programming techniques, but I was eager to learn more.
My Interests
I'm an avid computer nerd with an insatiable need for perfection. My interests fall right in between designing systems that are functional and systems that are a work of art. In my opinion, the design goes hand in hand with the purpose. I am excited to bring this standard of quality to my future endeavors, be they in my studies, the software industry, and beyond.
My Skills
Skilled in both front-end and back-end development, UI/UX design, as well as Algorithm Design, my skill set can be applied in almost any SWE environment. On top of the skills I already bring to the table, I'm a rapid learner with the capability to pick up new abilities on the fly, with strong communication and idea-marketing skills as a cherry on top.
My Journey
August 2019: I enter the programming world, beginning with Python.
2020-2022: I learn backend/frontend Python, and develop many realtime applications with Pygame. Chief among these are a rigid body simulation and a Connect 4 solver.
2023-24 Academic Year: I learn robot programming in C++, eventually earning the regional AMAZE Award and world-class THINK Award at the VEX Robotics World Championship.
Today: Developing websites like VRC Tracker, booster.nu, and SweetSpot, I am furthering my skills in web development with JS and React, as well as back-end and algorithm design.
Tomorrow: Studying CS at Northeastern University, I strive to apply my skills and acquire new ones as I navigate my career path.
My Projects
VRC Tracker
A tool for aggregating team stats in VEX Robotics across the season into one "PowerScore".
booster.nu
A powerful workflow tracking tool with a built-in idea planning functionality.
NEU Game Bot Programming Challenge
Founder of a competitive programming tournament based on a theory-oriented computer game.
ARC-OTG
High-level operating system developed for a custom handheld gaming console.
Visual Autonomous Path Generator
Interface-based robot path creation tool that won the VEX Robotics World Championship THINK Award.
Rigid Body Simulation
A physically-accurate simulation of a 2D Rigid Body built in Python with the Pygame library.
Connect 4 Minimax Algorithm
An implementation of the Minimax Algorithm (with alpha/beta pruning) to play Connect 4.
